First State Orthopaedics

The Client

First State Orthopaedics has been serving the communities of Northern Delaware and Southern Delaware for more than 20 years. FSO is comprised of 29 physicians and 46 total providers. They provide both surgical and nonsurgical treatment for a variety of orthopaedic conditions, including general orthopaedics and fracture care, sports medicine, trauma care, pain management, and rehabilitation medicine. The physicians are specially trained using the most current techniques and state-of-art technologies to ensure better outcomes for their patients.

First State surgeons operate at Christiana, Wilmington, Bayhealth Medical Center, Jennersville Regional Hospital, Eden Hill Medical Center, Dover Surgicenter, and the First State Surgery Center. The doctors are available to all the local emergency and urgent care centers for consultation and treatment.

They also serve as the primary team physicians for over 20 high schools, Goldey-Beacom College, Wilmington University, and many local recreational and competitive leagues.

The Challenge

First State Orthopaedics turned to beMarketing to help grow their social presence, specifically on their Facebook page. The page had hit a plateau of followers and engagement. We strategized various ways to increase our following and boost engagement once again. We decided to do a Summer themed giveaway of FSO swag, including a beach wagon. It was a two week long campaign encouraging our audience to “like” and “share” the post for a chance to win! The campaign performed well beyond our expectations, and we continue to push out raffles on a monthly basis to continue to build upon our audience. We have seen impressive results on our organic posts since.

Results

The First State Orthopaedics raffle campaign resulted in 37 organic page likes in just one day. During the two week campaign, they had an increase of 132 page likes. Their facebook followers went from 1906 to 2,038 by the end of the month.
